This is a 2024 semi-fretless custom banjo from Pisgah with a host of upgrades and features. This would be $2,900 new from Pigah, according to their custom builder.
The cherry neck has a Richlite fretboard and aged brass overlays for both the fretless section and the scoop. The peghead has a Richlite overlay and a star marquetry inlay. There is a factory-installed fifth string spike at the 7th fret.
The 12 inch brass spun-over pot includes a Dobson tone ring, a JD Balch hide head, and a Richlite armrest.
I bought this as a steel string fretless, but have since swapped it out for Nylgut strings, which sound and feel fantastic. The bridge that's on there is one I made for the sake of improving the tone for those Nyluts. I will include the Pisgah Access soft case ($140 new).
This is a joy to play, but I build banjos as a hobby and am finishing up a fretless. I just don't need two!
