Chuck Lee Custom 12" Open Back 2015

Used 2015 Chuck Lee Custom open-back banjo featuring a 12" 2-ply maple rim and integral wood tone ring in excellent condition and including a hard-shell case. Those with an eye for superior workmanship will notice the elegant touches behind the modest cosmetic appointments on this banjo, including the expertly carved cherry neck with Dobson heel, the wave-shaped frailing scoop in the ebony fretboard, and the scalloped bone nut. It's a lovely sounding banjo, too, with a warm, hypnotic tone that suits clawhammer styles beautifully. It has been played over the past decade, but the cosmetic condition remains very good, with wear limited to some shallow worming and faint scratches in the finish throughout. Frets were freshly leveled, crowned, and polished in preparation for sale and show no signs of wear with plenty of material remaining.
