14x7 2 ply, Red Oak steambent semi-solid snare drum Shell by Erie drums and shells. It is made from 2 plies of 1/8" thick steambent Red Oak with a 1/4" total thickness. Our new 2 ply semi-solid shells give you all the purity of tone of a solid shell steambent, but without the restrictions to openness of tone caused by reinforcement rings. These are extremely open and full in tonal range, but much more controlled than a traditional steambent. The shells are 1/4" thick. This is a bare shell with no edges or beds. edges, beds and a basic lug position layout are available for an extra $30 charge. shell can be cut to any depth at no additional charge.
