These Tama SpeedCobras are excellent for fast double bass but are responsive enough for nuanced grooves as well. I've replaced the springs and the beaters (and have broke them in with about 20-25hrs of playtime). They're in very good condition. They've been on tour, but have been kept in their original case for transport (included, missing one of the locks). They look like they've been put to use, not kept on a shelf to be admired. I've taken good care of them and want to find them a home for someone who will utilize their purpose - SPEED.
With no swivel or slide technique, they felt comfortable and under control at my sustained tempo of 215-230bpm. They can go much faster.
Disclaimer: There is one square head bolt missing on the connector shaft. It does not affect performance.
