Fender Custom Shop ’52 Telecaster Vintage White Heavy Relic – Masterbuilt by Dale Wilson
I am selling my amazing Masterbuilt Dale Wilson ’52 Telecaster with factory Bigsby. The guitar was purchased in 2012 from 4Sound Music retail shop in Copenhagen DK, who had it ordered and built through the Fender Custom Shop. Dale Wilson is today one of the most sought-after Master Builders at Fender, and the wait for a newly built guitar can be several years.
Dale Wilson apprenticed as a Master Builder under John Cruz and completed his journeyman's work for the 2011 NAMM Show. Today, he is one of the most respected builders in the Fender Custom Shop, and this guitar is no exception.
The guitar appears in 100% original condition, exactly as it left the Fender factory in 2012, and it is in top condition. It weighs only 3.36 kg and is equipped with a factory Bigsby, making it both rare and very attractive. The neck of the guitar is an AA flamed ’52 Tele maple neck, and the body is made of beautiful ash with a beautiful Heavy Relic finish. The pickups are hand-wound by Abigail Ybarra, who retired in the spring of 2013, so this set is among the last she wound.
All case candy is included, including a certificate and floor traveler, which allows you to see all the specified specs on the guitar. If you were to have a Dale Wilson Masterbuilt built with similar specifications today, the price is typically between 10,000 and 15,000 euros, depending on the choice of specifications.
