I purchased this from Ken in the fall of 22, see the pic of the page from Ken for the way the controls work. You can pull the volume control to go into passive mode but it is meant as a fail safe in case the batteries die in the middle of a gig as the tone controls are bypassed in passive mode. I have used it on and off at church over the last four years so it is lightly used and I can't find any marks on it. The strap and two extra sets of Ken Smith strings come with it. At the risk of sounding lazy, you can find out more about the wood specs etc by going to ken's website than I could add here. It did come in the shown TKL gig bag and I still have the box and packing material it came in so it will be well packed. It weighs 9.9 lbs.
