For sale is a vintage Epiphone 5102TE semi-hollow electric guitar in beautiful Redburst finish. This is a vintage, Japanese-made semi-hollow electric guitar built between 1970 and 1971 by the Matsumoku factory, known for producing high-quality instruments during the golden era of Japanese guitar manufacturing.
The guitar is in good used condition for its age and everything works exactly as it should. Electronics function properly, the pickups sound great, and the guitar plays well. It also includes a hardshell case for protection and transport.
Specifications:
- Body: Thinline semi-hollow body (nearly hollow, with just a 3/4" square wood block beneath the bridge)
- Pickups: Dual double-coil pickups (early models featured black plastic covers with "staple" poles, later shifting to chrome-covered mini-humbuckers)
- Tailpiece & Bridge: Vibrato tailpiece with a wood insert, paired with an adjustable roller or tune-o-matic style bridge
This is a fantastic opportunity to own a unique piece of Epiphone history. The lightweight semi-hollow construction delivers warm, resonant tones that work well for blues, rock, jazz, and classic vintage sounds.
Includes hardshell case.
