Ibanez EDA905 Ergodyne 5-String Bass – Made in Korea (2001)
Up for sale is a 2001 Ibanez EDA905 Ergodyne 5-string bass, built at the renowned Cort factory in Korea. Part of Ibanez’s futuristic Ergodyne series, this bass features the lightweight and highly ergonomic Luthite body design that made these instruments stand out from the crowd.
The EDA905 combines a powerful magnetic pickup with the Fishman piezo-equipped Mono-Rail bridge system, delivering an incredibly versatile range of tones—from deep modern lows to articulate, piano-like clarity. The slim Ibanez neck profile makes this a very comfortable 5-string to play.
Features:
• Made in Korea (April 2001)
• Lightweight ergonomic Luthite body
• 34” scale
• 24 frets
• Fishman piezo Mono-Rail bridge system
• Active electronics
• Excellent playing neck and low action
• A unique and increasingly hard-to-find Ibanez model
This is a great bass for players looking for something different from the usual Jazz or Precision-style instruments. Comfortable, versatile, and unmistakably Ibanez.
