The Vox AC4HWR1 is a compact, hand-wired combo designed to deliver classic VOX tone in a more manageable format. Built with vintage-inspired construction and modern refinements, it captures the chime, harmonic complexity, and touch sensitivity associated with early VOX amplifiers while remaining practical for home, studio, and small-stage use.

Unlike typical low-wattage designs, the AC4HWR1 incorporates a phase inverter stage to recreate the harmonic behavior of larger VOX amps. Paired with a custom transformer and a responsive EL84 power section, it delivers natural compression, dynamic breakup, and a lively feel even at lower volumes. With features like a transparent effects loop, spring reverb, and a bypassable master volume, it balances vintage tone with modern flexibility.
