Professionally restored pair of Ampex 601 suitcase mic preamps. These preamps have received full electrical rebuilds and a few quality-of-life improvements, including convenient Neutrik XLR output and 1/4" D/I input jacks. The preamps have been mounted in a high-quality suitcase made for Ampex by Samsonite. Both preamps have original input/output transformers, manufactured by Ampex/RCA. The upper VU meter has a tendency to get stuck on occasion. I hate to let these go because they have such unique character in a portable form factor, but I need the money. See video for sound sample.
