For sale is my absolutely stunning Yamaha YTS-62III tenor saxophone made in Japan, and I have to say, this one is a real gem that's been incredibly well cared for from day one. It's in mint condition overall and ready to play right out of the case—no setup needed, just grab it and start making music. This horn has that rich, powerful, and incredibly warm Yamaha tone that everyone loves, with beautiful projection and a depth that makes it sing whether you're playing jazz, classical, or anything in between. It responds effortlessly across the entire range, from the lowest notes up high, with spot-on intonation and a smooth, even scale that just feels alive in your hands. I've only played it a handful of times total since I got it, so it's basically still brand new with very minimal wear. There are just a couple of tiny, very small scratches on the backside of the body—nothing visible from the front or that affects playability at all—and everything else is in absolute perfect condition. The pads, seals, springs, and action are all flawless, and it plays like an absolute dream every single time. It has also been recently serviced and shop adjusted, so everything is dialed in perfectly for immediate performance.
What really sets this one apart is how responsive and fun it is to play. The keywork is buttery smooth, the ergonomics are spot on, and it has that legendary professional-level build quality Yamaha is famous for with their Japanese craftsmanship, making it a fantastic step-up or even pro-level horn for serious players or advancing students. Whether you're gigging, practicing at home, or recording, this sax delivers consistently incredible sound and reliability without any of the quirks you sometimes find on lesser instruments.
It comes fully equipped with everything you need to get started right away. You'll get a couple of tubes of cork grease to keep things moving smoothly, three brand new Vandoren reeds (perfect for jumping in immediately), a brand new neck strap that's comfortable and sturdy, and a complete cleaning kit so you can maintain that pristine condition for years to come. The original hard case is also in fantastic shape—super protective, sturdy, and practical, with those handy backpack straps that make it easy to throw on and carry around without any hassle. It's easily transportable whether you're heading to rehearsals, lessons, or a gig across town.
This is one of those horns that punches way above its weight in terms of sound and playability. I've loved having it, but it's time to pass it on to someone who will give it even more miles. If you're looking for a tenor that feels special every time you pick it up, this could be exactly what you've been searching for. Feel free to ask me any questions—I'm happy to share more details or even take additional photos if needed!
