The Gibson L-7 is a legendary, pre-war archtop guitar known for providing acoustic volume and a woody tone and was a favorite amongby influential jazz and blues pioneers. This L-7 points to 1935-36 when the 17″ body size and X-braced interior made this iteration the most sought after of the L-7s. Although this guitar has moderate to heavy play wear, it appears to be all original save the pickguard which has been outfitted with a Kent Armstrong 12-pole floating pickup for great jazz tones. Overall this guitar is in excellent condition for its age, it plays well with the action at about 3/32″ with room on the saddle for further adjustment as desired. This comes with an original, era correct and highly desirable Redline case which is in pretty rough condition but functions as it should.
