The MBT is an absolute monster for saturation and stereo enhancement. This is probably the most painful sale I've made in my studio - I only letting it go because I needed a mastering EQ and essentially reinvested the money into the Wesaudio ngTubeEQ.

If your mixes need life and analog mojo, this is an all-in-one box for you:

- An underrated EQ in my opinion that adds a beautiful smoothness to the highs without ever getting harsh. Very musical low end.

- A kinda gluey opto-compressor that adds cohesion and brightness to a mix. I don't always use it, but when it works there's nothing quite like it. Works great for both mastering and mixing.

- In my opinion the best stereo widening available in analog hardware on the market. I tried the SPL BIG and chose the MBT because it widens the mix without losing center focus, and does it musically without the critical phase artifacts you get with plugins.

- My favorite section of the unit - Super Silk. Do I even need to say anything about the legendary Silk? If you've spent even a week doing professional mixing or mastering you already know what a remarkable tool this is. Transformer-based fat saturation that literally defines the word 'mojo'. This is the feature my studio will genuinely miss. No other analog unit - let alone a plugin - can get you to the same place as the MBT.
