----------------------------------

The SR series combines a compact, double-arched body that fits comfortably against the body and a slim neck, with powerful pickups controlled by an active circuit.

The SR series is a model that pursues ease of playability for the player and versatility that fits a wide range of genres, and the SR500 series is at the heart of this.

Then, in 2026, Ibanez released the "SR500A," a model that further upgrades the bridge and neck of the SR500 series.

The SR's identity of being able to handle all genres—versatile tones and playability that satisfies everyone from beginners to professionals—is elevated to even greater heights with a stronger neck and a bridge that allows for more precise adjustments, resulting in a model that allows you to experience attractive sound creation and playability.

------------------------------------------

〇SR Original 3D Body

The defining characteristic of the SR is its "supple curves and compact, lightweight body." It incorporates a 3D arched body that enhances the sense of unity with the body. This body shape prioritizes playability, arguably the most important aspect for any musician.

〇 5pc Roasted Maple/Walnut neck

The neck features a "5pc Roasted Maple/Walnut neck" constructed from a combination of heat-treated roasted maple and walnut wood.

The heat treatment enhances the wood's inherent properties, providing dimensional stability, resistance to warping, water resistance, and resistance to temperature changes.

〇 Rosewood fingerboard: Rosewood is one of the most popular fingerboard materials, known for its excellent mid-low frequency response.

The body uses okoume wood, which offers a bright and solid sound with mid-range characteristics similar to mahogany.

〇 Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ with EQ bypass switch & Mid frequency switch

The EQ utilizes "Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ," enabling a wide range of sound shaping possibilities.

This active bass features 3-band equalization (High/Mid/Low) and can be switched ON/OFF via a mini-switch. In passive mode, the High knob functions as a tone control.

Furthermore, the Mid Frequency switch allows you to select between 250Hz, 450Hz, and 700Hz, which are crucial for a bass sound (9V battery powered).

〇Bartolini BH2 pickups

The bass is equipped with Bartolini BH2 pickups, characterized by a tight bottom end, rich midrange, and a well-balanced, warm response.

〇MR5S bridge

The bridge is an MR5S (monorail) bridge with a string spacing adjustment mechanism.

Each string has an independent bridge, directly transmitting string vibrations to the body. The saddles can be moved ±1.5mm left or right, allowing you to adjust the string spacing (string pitch) within the movable range.
