This sweet 1950s Stella 929 got a full rebuild for a whole new lease on life.
Please check out the video at the bottom of this listing for a demo and brief discussion.
These '50s Stellas with the thick neck (instead of the later steel-reinforced ones) are getting tougher to find, so I really wanted to keep this one super original.
It's got all the original ladder bracing, open-gear tuners, a chunky neck, a flat fretboard, narrow frets, a floating bridge, the original tailpiece, and a solid birch body, everything you'd expect from one of these early 929s. But, I did open it up to clean and reglue the braces. The neck got reset. I even took off the fretboard and planed the neck to fix the relief. The frets are leveled and crowned now. It got a ton of work and is now a super happy player built to last.
While it was open, I went ahead and put in a three-disc piezo pickup on the bridge plate. Sounds awesome.
Includes a gig bag. Ships safely packed in a nice box safely swaddled in plenty of packing materials.
