Naturally-reliced 1988 Mary Kaye 57' AVRI strat. 8 lbs. All-original finish and gold hardware
Whether you believe these were "made by the Fender Custom Shop" or not, this is a fantastic, well-played example of the earliest Mary Kaye reissues. The body exhibits real play wear, finish checking, nicks, dings, and sun fading from decades of play. The original pickups are classic strat and sound fantastic- the bridge pickup is cutting but not "ice picky", the in-between tones are full and bright, the middle position sounds like Jerry, and the neck pickup is bluesy and percussive.
The neck is a great medium C shape and has light play wear in the cowboy chord areas. The frets are in great shape and the guitar was recently setup by a well-known luthier.
Comes with what appears to be its original hardshell case.
