The bridge has been upgraded with the 'Badass II' bridge. I bought this bass 32 years ago from Guitar Center in Roseville Minnesota back when it was across from the Har Mar Mall in the building which is now Erik's Bike and a comic store.
It was played extensively for the first couple of years, but then pretty much stored the rest of the time I've owned it because I preferred an Ibanez that I bought, and for the last decade or more, I have pretty much not been playing bass at all. But I have recently started playing bass again and have found that the neck is too chunky for my hands and thus not fast enough for the stuff I like to play, so I have, over weeks, come to the conclusion to sell it and buy a Fender American Jazz, a Stingray, or one of the higher level Soundgears.
Anyway, this bass sounds incredible. it has a nice punch when you turn the treble up, and has a very clean, high quality piano-like sound. It's truly incredible, but just doesn't work with my hands. It's all original except for the bridge, but the old bridges had a problem with setting the intonation from what I understand, and the Badass II bridge is very heavy and substantial. It's been recently setup and will probably only go up in value, especially considering the condition it's in.
