WORKING CONDITION: Excellent. This M5 is truly a modern masterpiece that takes inspiration from the venerable ARP2600 and expands upon its architecture and abilities. The sound is bold, and the tactile experience of its large-format knobs and faders makes it a joy to patch. 

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Excellent. There are a few slight imperfections on the top of the unit, as shown in the photos. However, the faders, iO jacks, and knobs are all in top condition. The front panel is positioned at an 80-degree angle for maximum playability.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for a Macbeth Studio Systems M5 Modular Synthesizer. The Macbeth M5 is a rare, high-end semi-modular analog synthesizer hand-built by Ken Macbeth of Macbeth Studio Systems. Known for its "huge" sound and lack of any digital circuitry, it is loosely inspired by the architecture of the classic ARP 2600 but is not a clone.

  • Oscillators: 3 VCOs plus 1 Noise Generator, offering Sawtooth, Square (with PWM), Triangle, and Sine waveforms.
