This Fender Custom Shop 1963 Telecaster Heavy Relic offers a bevy of vintage-centric features including a ‘60-style Oval C neck profile, hand-wound ‘63 single coil pickups, and a gloss Three-Tone Sunburst nitro lacquer finish with Fender’s Heavy Relic treatment.
Weighing 7lbs 4oz, this Telecaster features a two-piece alder body and a quartersawn maple neck capped by a AAA rosewood fingerboard with a modern 9.5" radius and 6105 Narrow Tall fretwire. The nitro lacquer Three-Tone Sunburst finish exhibits “shattered glass” checking and extensive simulated wear via Fender’s Heavy Relic treatment.
