Cherry poly finish, model HG 803 per the 1975 Hagstrom catalog. So, this one has had a few modifications over the years – the tuners have been replaced with Kluson-style units with keystone buttons, pickups replaced with what appear to be DiMarzios, and a Bigsby has been added. Otherwise pretty straight and in quite clean condition. Wonderful and innovative Scandinavian oddness – Hagstrom’s patented “H-rod” truss rod system and the 2-bolt (yet very sturdy) neck joint, as well as classic conventional features, such as the bound all-mahogany body, mahogany neck, bound ebony fingerboard with block inlays, and the bound headstock with a lovely fleur-de-lis inlay. Plays well, sounds great. Made in, of course, Sweden, the perfect complement to your collection of other cool ‘70s Swedish stuff like the Volvo 240 and SAAB 37 Viggen in your back yard. Comes in newer hard case.
