The semi-hollow thinline maple body construction delivers both treble cut and a distinctive tonal breadth, qualities translated faithfully via the pickup pair. The ‘57 Classic PAF in the neck position yields a smooth bass register, tailored midrange, and sweet, articulate trebles, consistent with Gibson's golden era vintage "Patent Applied For" pickups. The aftermarket DiMarzio DP261BC PAF Master in the bridge position is highly responsive to picking dynamics, and has a snarly, thick growl when played hard. This ES-335 Dot weighs 8lbs 6oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Cherry nitro lacquer finish highlights dimensional curly flame figuring in the maple, extending evenly across the top and back. There’s a small area of shallow buckle rash central to the back, a couple tiny nicks along the lower bout perimeter, and a few faint finish scratches on top. The gloss on the neck profile is flawless save for a couple shallow marks on the carve behind the 9th fret.
