A bass I've had in its case for a while now. As of posting (2026/6/02) it appears to be the only one in this finish on Reverb. I just tested it and it plays well and I haven't found any issues with the electronics.

While overall, it's cosmetically rather solid, unfortunately at some point it got some cracks in the finish around the controls (displayed above).

Comes with an older somewhat worn Rockbag case by Warwick.

The SRMS805 is a multi-scale, five string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2018. It is produced in Indonesia as part of the Ibanez Bass Workshop line.

The SRMS805 features a poplar burl top on a double-cutaway walnut and mahogany body bolted to a jatoba and walnut multi-scale neck with a 24-fret panga panga fingerboard with offset stadium position markers. Components include a pair of Bartolini BH2 passive pickups feeding an Ibanez custom preamp with a three-band EQ, individually mounted Mono-rail 5S bridges with adjustable 16.5mm string spacing, a plastic nut, and Ibanez tuning machines. The hardware is black matte.

For 2019 the walnut and mahogany body was replaced with okoume. For 2020 the hardware color was changed to black.

The SRMS805L is a left handed version. The SRMS800 and SRMS806 are four string and six string versions, respectively.
