I have a really cool Fender American Professional II Precision 5 with some nice upgrades and a mildly interesting backstory.
The color is Miami Blue (I think) with a maple fingerboard. Love the neck on this one. And it weighs just 8.55lbs--see the pic.
The backstory? The good news is that the P5 has been upgraded with Hipshot Ultralite tuners by a previous owner, and I added the Hipshot Type B aluminum bridge. The string trees were also upgraded (Hipshot maybe?) and the B tuner has one of those string retainers that's supposed to increase tension on the B-string.
This bass was apparently refurbished by MIRC (), and they often remove part of the original serial number for reasons described in this video (https://reverb.com/news/video-where-do-all-the-broken-guitars-go-why-refurbished-isnt-bad-it-may-be-better). As it happens, the previous owner included the original registration card with the serial number clearly visible, and the Fender serial number search returns the correct instrument.
Also no case with this but I will ship well packed in a Fender gig bag.
