Hans Hoyer 802 Double French Horn

Here we have one of the most complete horns you can buy. A double horn with a double stopping valve. The extra valve allows you to lower the pitch of the instrument by a half step on both the F and Bb sides of the horns. This can have a number of applications. You can use it to create easier alternate fingerings for difficult runs, or the way I most often use it, to allow you to play stopped horn without having to use transposed fingerings. It takes a huge mental load off of any concert with stopped horn on it. 

The instrument is identical to the Hoyer 802 model except for the extra valve. Whether the extra valve changes the model number I don’t know, so I have just listed it as an 802.

The horn very nice physical shape. No dents or damage that I can find. This is an older Hoyer, 100% hand-made with old-school craftsmanship. It makes a lovely rich and mellow sound.
