The ESP LTD EC Black Metal is a dark, minimalist, and uncompromising machine designed for pure sonic aggression. Dressed in an imposing Black Satin finish with matching all-black hardware and a black metal LTD logo on the headstock, this instrument strips away all non-essential aesthetics to focus entirely on raw power and devastating tonal performance.

The foundation of this guitar is a classic mahogany body paired with a rock-solid, 3-piece mahogany neck featuring a set-thru construction. This design ensures virtually endless sustain and completely seamless access to the highest frets. The premium Macassar ebony fingerboard is left completely clean with no inlays, emphasizing its stealthy look. It features a fast 350mm radius, a comfortable Thin "U" neck contour, and 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets, providing a slick, high-speed playing surface built to handle the most intense riffing.

For its signature voice, the EC Black Metal is armed with a single, direct-mounted Seymour Duncan Blackened Black Winter humbucker in the bridge position. This pickup is engineered specifically for extreme metal styles, delivering a crushing midrange, tight low-end tracking, and razor-sharp high-end articulation under heavy saturation. The streamlined control layout consists of a single master volume knob equipped with a push/pull function to split the humbucker, offering instant access to crisp, single-coil-like textures alongside its primary high-output roar.

The hardware appointments are strictly professional-grade and optimized for absolute stage reliability. It features a TonePros locking Tune-O-Matic bridge and tailpiece, which locks directly to the posts for maximum vibration transfer and a solid anchoring feel under palm-mutes. Coupled with a durable molded nut and high-performance LTD locking tuners, this guitar delivers rock-solid tuning stability night after night.

Condition: This is a used ESP LTD EC Black Metal in Black Satin in good condition. There are a handful of item to call out cosmetically. There's a finish imperfection between the bridge and the tailpiece. Along both sides of the neck, there's been some finish cracks most likely from the fret ends pushing through the finish. You can't feel the finish cracks while playing, but if you run your nail over them, you can tell it's an open finish crack. See photos for reference. Neither of these items effects the playability of the guitar. It comes equipped with our Pro-Tech Setup, ensuring it arrives ready to play straight out of the box.

Pro-Tech Setup: Every guitar we sell receives our Pro-Tech setup, including:

  • Neck adjustment for proper relief
  • Action setup for clean, buzz-free playability
  • Intonation across all frets

  • Full electronics inspection and play-test
