Offered for sale is a Korean-made Spector NS2000/5 neck-through 5-string bass in Amber Quilt finish.
This bass features the classic fully carved NS body shape and neck-through construction that made the original NS2000 series so popular among Spector players. The instrument is stamped "Precision Crafted in Korea Under License from Stuart Spector Designs, Ltd." and carries serial number 0034855.
I've owned multiple Spectors over the years, including other NS2000s, Legends, and a Euro. I originally purchased this bass because I regretted selling an earlier NS2000/5 that was one of the best instruments I ever owned. This is an excellent example, but my Euro has ultimately become my primary instrument, and I simply cannot justify keeping multiple Spectors that occupy the same role.
Features
- Neck-through construction
- Fully carved NS body
- Amber Quilt figured maple top
- EMG pickups

Weight:
Approximately 10.4 lbs.
Condition
Overall condition is Very Good.
The bass presents exceptionally well and the finish remains glossy and vibrant. The figured maple top is particularly attractive and shows excellent depth in person.
There are several small cosmetic dings and finish marks from normal use, all of which are shown in the photographs. These are purely cosmetic and do not affect playability or function in any way.
The back of the instrument is remarkably clean for its age with virtually no buckle rash.
The neck is straight, action is comfortable, electronics function properly, and the instrument has been gigged regularly without issue.
The bass recently received a complete setup and is currently strung with relatively new D'Addario nickel-wound strings. Action is set low and fast without sacrificing playability, and the instrument is properly intonated and ready to gig or record immediately.
Notes
- Two rear electronics cavity screws are missing. They were missing when I purchased the bass and have never affected functionality.
- Includes a genuine Spector hardshell case. This is not the original case that shipped with the instrument, but it is an authentic Spector case, fits the bass perfectly, and provides excellent protection.
- The exterior of the case shows normal cosmetic wear from use.
Shipping
Bass will be carefully packed, detuned slightly for shipment, and shipped fully insured.
