Framus Tenor Banjo Rhthym series, vintage 1963 - brown

FRAMUS tenor banjo, vintage 1963, from the Rhythm Series, Ser. Nr. 53?35 - 63M (made in dec 1963). This banjo is in very good condition and is completely refurbished. A crack in the rim was repaired and the rim was additionally enforced at the neck hole area (see fotos); a small piece of new binding was added at the lower neck end. Except for the new string set (36w-24w-18w-12), and the new head (REMO, bottom coated, size 11 1/8 inch), the banjo is completely original. Rosewood  fretboard with 19 frets and zero fret, FRAMUS Stratotone tailpiece for adjustment of string pressure, low fretwear. Original 2-footed bridge, height 5/8 inch. Ni plated tension ring and arm rest, 18 steel nuts and hooks, wooden resonator with brown stripes at the outside. Tuned in G-D-A-E for Irish music, great vintage FRAMUS sound.
