Legendary Fender Mustang Bass, manufactured between 1966 and 1981 and then reissued from 1998/2000 until 2014. Model MB98-70 SD Short Scale, White, made in Japan in 1998. Increasingly difficult to find in Japan! Rare on the market.
This example is one of the first reissues!
*Selected and imported by us from Japan*
Excellent craftsmanship, slim neck (38.1 mm at the nut) very comfortable. Japanese craftsmanship at its finest.
Sound-wise, it's funky and punchy. Many rock and garage bands love this sound. Very playable bass, easy access to the higher frets, and a superb look. A toy for grown-ups!
Very good overall condition, some minor marks, frets in very good condition: 8/10 (see photos for details). Quite lightweight, ideal for extended playing while standing, and... for guitarists :)
Please note: do not confuse this with current models made in Mexico (larger frets, satin neck finish, 42mm nut width, non-rosewood fretboard, Mexican pickups ;-) and the new MB American Performer US, Mexico-US series... soulless.
