This was a drum shell, with BEAUTIFUL original sky blue pearl wrap, that I rescued! When I got it, it had multiple extra holes where I think someone had planned on turning it into a snare drum!

Well, I filled the holes with maple plugs and covered them with identical (same vintage) Ludwig Sky Blue Pearl dots. I did not fill 3 other tiny holes (they were too small and I left them alone). The lugs are in wonderful condition and so are the hoops (the hoops are not original). This is definitely what I’d call a player’s drum, but it just happens to be way prettier than your everyday player’s drum!

I’m hoping there is someone out there that has been waiting for a 12x8 tom for their 70s Sky Blue Pear kit.
