We’ve been especially impressed with the recent run of Fender Custom Shop L-Series Strats, and this one lands right where we like them.

The quarter-sawn maple neck is the standout, as it is remarkably close in feel to a great mid-’60s original, with a comfortable ’63-style C that feels instantly familiar. Combined with a round-lam rosewood board, 9.5" radius, and medium vintage frets, it delivers that effortless, broken-in response players chase in old Strats.

Custom Shop pickups - Fat ’64s (reverse-wound ’64 in the middle position) - keeps things classic while maintaining hum-free in-between positions. Great scooped midrange neck position tones, great 2 & 4 position cluck, and a full but twangy sounding bridge pickup. Beautiful stuff.

Vintage-correct hardware, subtle Journeyman aging, and smart wiring touches round it out, resulting in a Strat that feels settled, musical, and ready to live in from day one.

Every instrument we ship is inspected and set up by our in-house guitar techs before it leaves the shop.

We're a Fender Showcase Dealer, Collings' largest dealer worldwide, and a Martin Custom Shop Expert Dealer. Our showroom is at 165 Massachusetts Ave in Lexington, MA.

Questions about any instrument are always welcome. We're happy to talk gear.
