Sometime before 2016 Geddy Lee Bassist of RUSH, who loves Gretsch Round Ups, asked Stephen Stern, Master builder of Gretsch Custom Shop, to build a Round Up bass. He delivered my basses twin to Geddy Lee in 2016 & was included in the Big Beautiful Book of Bass. This bass is made by Stephen Stern. COA signed in 2022 just before his retirement, The bass is a the missing piece to complete a Gretsch Western Collection. The bass features the Belt Buckle Tailpiece. The "G" Brand. 1 DeArmond Pickup with single volume & tone. The bass sounds great for just one pickup. One piece Tortoise pickguard with Steers Head. The full 34" Scale neck has engraved block inlays. Steers head & T Roof GRETSCH logo on headstock. The basses entire body side is Studded Tooled Leather. Back of headstock has Custom Shop decal & Stephen Stern's signature. The serial number tag, like the old ones, is in the control cavity. Comes in a very nice White Cowboy Style case with all Custom Shop tags & case key. May Trade for a Custom color 1969 Jazz Bass with matching headstock if in Exceptional Original Condition.
