Description
The VOX Bulldog Distortion is a dual-channel distortion pedal that combines tube-driven warmth with versatile high-gain performance in a compact stompbox format. Part of the Cooltron series, the Bulldog uses a low-voltage 12AU7 preamp tube to deliver rich harmonic saturation and dynamic response traditionally associated with larger tube-driven equipment.
Featuring two independent gain channels, the Bulldog offers a broad range of distortion textures. Gain 1 delivers vintage-inspired distortion tones with warmth and bite, while Gain 2 provides a more aggressive modern voice with slightly scooped mids and expanded tonal shaping. Both channels feature independent Gain and Volume controls for flexible setup and performance options.
Additional Bass, Treble, and Gain 2 Voice controls allow players to fine-tune everything from thick low-end punch to smooth lead sustain and cutting high-gain attack. True bypass switching preserves signal integrity when the pedal is disengaged, making the Bulldog a versatile solution for classic and modern distortion applications alike.
