Here for your consideration is an amazing Fender Stratocaster from legendary year of 1976.  What happened in 1976?  A peanut farmer became president, the word Apple became more than just a fruit, and a Wookie took hold of the silver screen.

You won't see many Strats from this era that play as well as this one, nor will you seen many this clearn.  It does have some honest player wear but nothing major.  Everything is original, except for the trem arm.  As an added bonus, the original case is included.

You also won't see many hardtail versions of a Strat like this.  Some will say that the non-tremolo version of the guitar leads to increased tuning stability, added sustain, and a "chunky" tone due to a solid bridge/string-through-body design.  Less wood is removed and the feeling is that you get a more direct, snappier sound.

We've never come across one in this color - Mocha - and definitely not one as cool as this.  It has a classic 70's vibe but with an addeed touch of class.  We really appreciate how it's a transparent finish, allowing the wood grain to come though.  After all, showing off the natural wood is a very 70's way to come to the party.  The black pickguard, knobs and pickup covers are all a nice touch that add to the aesthetic.

The maple neck has the larger headstock, prevalent to Strats of this era, and is capped with a nice dark roosewood fretboard.  It has a rather sleek C profile that stays slim as you get higher, leading to easy to play lead work.  So whether you're strumming 70's AM rock staples, stabbing funk chords, riffing hard rock riffs or burning up the fretboard for a solo, this guitar works.  Just no divebombing, as it is a hardtail after all!

We don't come across many mid-70's Strat like this.  It's in great condition, especially considering it's age - we should all want to look this good at the age of 50.  This vintage Strat has been vetted and setup to play perfectly by the head luthier / vintage expert in our shop.  It's a really nice player and a great score for anyone that appreciates vintage 70's Strats or just hardtail Strats in general.  This one has both going on!
