Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Hybrid P/J Bass, Swamp Ash Body, Maple Fingerboard, 4-String - Nirvana Black Transparent Satin Roger Sadowsky's goal was always to further improve an already very successful bass design by making a number of detailed improvements. Along with the electronics, which he developed by himself, he succeeded to raise the well-known P/J bass sound to a new level, so today you can speak of a typical Sadowsky tone: Never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong, powerful but never muddy bass, with present, but not too aggressive mids, and a sweet and airy treble range. This modern bass sound can also be found in the Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Hybrid P/J line of basses. This 4-string bass, seen here in a Nirvana Black Transparent Satin finish, features a chambered P-Style body made of American Swamp Ash. The neck is made of Maple with a 1.5" / 38.5 mm wide nut and features a Maple fingerboard. String spacing at the bridge is 0.79" / 20 mm and the string distance between all of the strings is 2.36" / 60 mm. Special features of this bass include Sadowsky P and J pickups, active electronics with true bypass, Vintage Tone Control, treble and bass boost. This bass also features light open gear Sadowsky tuners and the Sadowsky Quick String Release Bridge. Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Hybrid P/J basses are made exclusively in Germany.
