Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Vintage P/J Bass, Swamp Ash Body, Maple Fingerboard, 4-String - Nirvana Black Transparent Satin Roger Sadowsky’s goal has always been to improve a bass's design through a number of specific and integral changes. By building his own electronics, Roger succeeded in improving the sound of a traditional P/J bass with that special Sadowsky tone: Never harsh or shrill. Strong, powerful bass that is never muddy. Present, but not too aggressive, mids and a sweet and airy treble range. This 4-string P/J bass features a sleek, undersized J-Style body made of chambered American Swamp Ash finished in a Nirvana Black Transparent Satin finish. The neck is made of American Maple with a 1.5" / 38.5 mm wide nut and features an American Maple fingerboard. String spacing at the bridge is 0.79" / 20 mm and the string distance between all of the strings is 2.36" / 60 mm. Special features of this bass include a Sadowsky P-Style neck pickup and a J-Style bridge pickup, active electronics with true bypass, Vintage Tone Control, treble and bass boost. The hardware includes light Sadowsky open gear tuners and a Sadowsky Quick String Release Bridge. The Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Vintage P/J bass is made exclusively in Germany and will never weigh more than 8.9 lbs (4.0 kg). It’s a great choice for players who want a lightweight bass with a modern P/J bass sound.
