Sadowsky MetroLine 24-Fret Modern Bass, Swamp Ash Body, Maple Fingerboard, 4-String - Burgundy Blackburst Transparent Satin The Sadowsky MetroLine 24-Fret Modern Bass is perfect for any player looking for a bass with modern looks and that famous Sadowsky tone: Never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong, powerful but never muddy bass, with present, but not too aggressive mids, and a sweet and airy treble range. This 4-string bass has a chambered Swamp Ash body. Seen here in a Burgundy Blackburst Transparent Satin finish, the body shape is sleek and undersized with deeper cutaways for better playability and a full two octave note range. The neck is made from American Maple with a 1.5" / 38.5 mm wide nut and has an American Maple fretboard with 24 nickel silver frets. This bass is fitted with two passive Sadowsky Soapbar pickups, both in a modern position, and has active electronics that offer true bypass, Vintage Tone Control, as well as treble and bass boost. Hardware includes Sadowsky light open gear tuners and a Sadowsky Quick String Release bridge. String spacing at the bridge is 0.79" / 20 mm and the string distance between all of the strings is 2.36" / 60 mm. Each Sadowsky MetroLine 24-Fret Modern Bass is made exclusively in our workshop in Germany and weighs no more than 8.9 lbs (4.0 kg).
