The Gibson ES-335 Figured is the cornerstone of Gibson's ES lineup — and in Sixties Cherry, it's one of the most visually striking versions of an already iconic guitar. The figured maple top catches the light beautifully under the gloss nitro finish, making this as much of a showpiece as it is a working instrument.
Since its 1958 debut, the ES-335 has set the standard for semi-hollow electric guitars — versatile enough for blues, jazz, soul, classic rock, and modern indie, with the warmth and dynamic response that solid-body guitars can't replicate. That legacy continues here unchanged.
The hand-rolled Rounded C mahogany neck is comfortable and instantly familiar, and the rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays keeps the look rooted in the original spec. A calibrated pair of T-Type humbuckers paired with a hand-wired control assembly delivers the open, articulate ES tone players have relied on for over 60 years — responsive to pick attack and amp settings alike.
Hardware is solid throughout: Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, a lightweight aluminum ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, and an aluminum stop bar tailpiece anchored by steel thumbwheels and studs. Tuning stays put and intonation stays precise.
The gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish on the 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple body resonates freely and will develop character over time.
