The set-in, 24-3/4"-scale mahogany neck has been carved into a speedy thin U profile and topped with a bound ebony fingerboard with 24 extra jumbo frets to facilitate high-velocity shredding and effortless string bending.The EC-1000 VB is powered by a pair of high-output, active EMG humbuckers: an EMG 81 in the bridge position and an EMG 60 in the neck position. These pickups will deliver a killer sound and sonic amazing versatility. The EMG 60 in the neck position offers a thick, full voice that'll sound awesome whether you're playing clean, bluesy riffs or dishing out ultra high-gain low-end chugs. An EMG 81 in the bridge position provides plenty of  sustain and high-end cut to serve up loads of searing lead tones and screaming solos. The simplistic controls include independent volume controls for each pickup, a master tone control and a 3-way pickup selector toggle switch. Finally, the gold hardware includes LTD locking tuners and a TonePros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece that will stabilize tuning and withstand anything you can dish out.
