This 2024 Gibson ’57 Les Paul Murphy Lab Ultra Heavy Aged Goldtop is a reissue built with a carved maple top over a mahogany body, paired with a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. The Murphy Lab aging gives the finish a heavily worn appearance, with checking, wear, and dulled hardware throughout. It’s equipped with a pair of Custombuckers, delivering a warm, mid-forward response with a smooth top end. The neck carve leans into a full ’50s profile, offering a substantial feel in hand. A detailed reissue that captures the look and character of a well-used late ’50s Goldtop.
