Up for sale is a very cool, USA Peavey Mystic. Made in 1984, this guitar is in very good condition for its 42 year age. Shows some normal play wear, but overall really good shape, and plays / sounds great

Frets show a little wear on lower end, but play fine, and will be good for a long time. Very few wear marks on the maple fongerboard, again, lower on the neck. Nice, straight maple neck with a 24, 3/4" scale. Neck micro tilt adjustment on neck plate. New rear coverplate custom made to replace chipped original (original included). No trem arm, but any 1980's Peavey arm should be easily obtainable, if you want one.

Peavey Super Ferrite pickups sound great, and offer a very unique coil tapping system. With the tone controls wide open at 10, pickup is in single coil mode. Lower the tone to about 7, and the pickup is in humbucker mode. Each tone knob controls each pickup. Master volume for both pickups, and three way pickup switch. Factory operation sheet included with guitar. Volume, tones, and switches all operate correctly.

Finish is very good. There is one little chip on the top of the lower, upper bought (I tried to show it), but it is not really noticeable. There are a few scratches on the back, but the finish is not broken through. Otherwise the finish is really great, and very bright, and polished. There is also one very small finish chip on the back of the neck, barely visible, but does not affect playability in any way.

Specs:

– Solid maple body, 24.75″ scale

– Maple bolt-on neck & maple fretboard (23 frets), 1/ 11/16" wide at nut.

– Peavey Super Ferrite blade-style humbuckers

– Master volume, two tones, 3-way selector

– Factory Peavey Power Bend tremolo system - currently blocked.

– Chrome hardware, original tuners, strap buttons, and knobs

The hard case shows its 42 year age to some degree, but is still very functional. The covering has been reglued to be as good as it can get. Back / rear latch needs a new drawbar installed. The middle locking latch is missing, but the remaining latches work fine, and keep the case closed securely. If you prefer a gig bag, Gator Cases makes a nice 4G bag for a Jazzmaster that fits it fine, and is very sturdy.

This guitar is a lot of fun, and sounds great. The coil taps are very cool, and add a lot of versatility to the tones. I have owned it a couple of years, but just don't play it much, so it needs a good home.

Sales to the continental USA only. Flat shipping rate of $75.00 due to size and weight. I pack very well, and fully insure all shipments. Check my feedback.

I try to represent my instruments as accurately, and honestly as possible. All questions answered as quickly as possible.

Thanks!
