MiniDexed Hardware Sound Module — 6-Operator FM Synthesizer (DX7-Compatible)

Full-featured hardware FM synthesizer based on the open-source MiniDexed project. Goes far beyond a basic FM clone — this is a complete sound module with patch editing, bank loading, onboard effects, and multi-instance capability.

What makes it special

This isn't just an FM synth. It loads original DX7 SysEx banks and reproduces them with crystal-clear hardware quality — but with onboard effects (reverb, chorus, etc.) that the original 1983 instrument never had. You can load up to 16,000 banks with varying patch counts per bank — essentially every DX7 sound ever programmed, all in one device.

A staple for any FM-curious musician or studio.

Multi-instance FM engine

Built on the MiniDexed engine, the module can run up to 8 tone generators simultaneously — similar in concept to the classic Yamaha TX816 / TX802 rack modules (8 DX7 voice cards in one chassis). Use it for layered FM stacks, multitimbral setups, or massive unison tones.

• For computer connection, a MIDI-USB adapter can be purchased separately. Note: cheap no-name USB-MIDI adapters from marketplaces often drop data and cause errors — use a reliable brand (Roland UM-ONE, iConnectivity, etc.)
