Since its release in 1960, the Jazz Bass has been a flagship model for Fender, alongside the Precision Bass, and continues to influence the music scene. Numerous variations and reissue models have been produced by the original manufacturer, as well as inspired models by it from other companies, solidifying its position as a standard model for electric basses.

This particular guitar, which we have in stock, is a headstock serial-era model with an ash body, maple fingerboard, and 3-bolt joint, shipped around 1977.

The total weight is approximately 4.45 kg. The body is made of ash wood with a beautiful grain. The finish used during this period was "Fender Thick-Skin High-Gloss," which uses polyester as a base coat. The walnut color, which is representative of this era but is becoming increasingly rare these days, combined with the black 3-ply pickguard, gives it a sophisticated look. There is some weather checking and minor dents commensurate with its age, and some tarnishing on the metal parts, but considering its age, it is in remarkably good condition. This is a rare instrument with beautiful flame grain visible from the headstock to the back of the neck and the surface of the fingerboard.
