Great playing and sounding Gibson LG1. Serial number indicates a 1966 manufacturing date, but Gibson serial numbers can be notorious from the 1960's, so there's a chance this was made in 1969 too. There's a "2" stamped in under the serial number, indicating this guitar was a "second" when it left the factory. Hard saying what the defect was that made it a "second", probably a clear coat or finish flaw. Comes with it's original chipboard case, which has duct tape and a missing inner compartment cover. Tuners are Kluson originals, scratch-plate is missing and looks like it's been missing for a long, long time. Original plastic bridge was lifting so we replaced it with a rosewood/maple slightly oversized bridge. Looks and sounds great. Original bridge is included loose. Some finish check and normal play wear, but overall.....really good condition for it's age. Had a top crack starting on lower bout which had been professionally addressed when the bridge was replaced. Just a neat old LG-1 that sounds great, plays well with good low action.
