This instrument was purchased directly from Rickenbacker and represents one of the final-era 4004Cii basses produced before the model’s discontinuation.

The 4004 series has developed a near cult-level following among serious Rickenbacker collectors and players due to its significantly lower production numbers compared to the 4001/4003 series, modernized design, neck-through construction, and unmistakable tonal character.

Late-production 4004Cii examples in uncommon finishes rarely surface publicly, and Translucent Green examples are exceptionally difficult to find.
