ESP makes nice guitars without charging an arm and a leg!  This ESP LTD EC-1000T CTM has a single cutaway mahogany body with a beautiful tobacco sunburst satin finish.  The body is chambered for weight relief and has multi-ply headstock, top, and back body binding.  While it has the look and feel of a Les Paul, it doesn’t have the weight!  The thin U 3-piece mahogany set neck has a 13.78” radius, measuring 20 mm at the nut and 22mm at the 12th fret.  It has a 24.75” scale, a satin finish on the neck that doesn’t get sticky once you’ve been playing it for a while like glossy necks can, standard dual-action truss rod, 22 XL jumbo stainless steel frets (these will last the life of the guitar!), pearloid flag inlays on a macassar ebony fretboard, and a molded 1.654” nut.  The 3 X 3 LTD locking tuners do a great job keeping your guitar in tune, and changing strings takes a fraction of the time it can take with the non-locking variety.  The black hardware includes a Tonepros locking TOM bridge, two volume and one tone knob, and a three-way pickup selector switch.

Of course, besides playing fantastic on this thin neck, it totally matters what kind of sounds you can get from the pickups.  This guitar has my favorite set-up.  It features a pair of Fishman Fluence Open-Core Classic Humbuckers. These have two distinct tones built into them, with the bonus additional option of a killer single-coil sound.  The neck volume knob is push/pull to activate the single coil option.  The tone knob is push/pull to choose between the two Fishman voices.   You will be really impressed with the range of sounds you can get out of this stellar set of pickups!
