The RESO ROCKET WB is the wood bodied version of the popular Reso Rocket, a single cone cutaway National with grille-style soundports (usually seen on National tricones). The result is a powerful, yet warm resonator sound with a very immediate response. The open grilles let the sound fly out of the guitar a bit quicker, all with the sweet reverberation Nationals are known for.

This is a version of the late, great Steve James' signature model, first introduced a couple of decades ago. Note this has Peghead, or solid, headstock.

Hotplate pickup system, and strap button installed. Ready to go!

I was blessed to know Steve and we shared the bill on several festivals back in the day. He was a dear friend and we sure miss him! What a cat.

Fantastic instrument. Like all of the single cone Nationals of recent years, it comes with the compensated bridge/saddle and is set up, ready to play, for regular picking and fretting, but can be excellent for slide as well. Being wood bodied, the weight of the guitar (at 5.75 lbs) is much more manageable than the heavier Reso Rocket N or Reso Rocket Steel (both around 8 lbs)
