With the style of an SG and a shortened scale length bass sound, the SG Standard is an awesome option for younger players or those who flout conventionality. It features classic SG Bass build, vintage Gibson style, and SG Bass pickups.
Classic SG Bass Build
You know an SG when you see one. The cool double cutaway body has that oval shaped lower bout and tight horns around the neck. This SG bass is built from Mahogany, with deep sculpt scarfing. It has a 30.5" scale length mahogany neck in rounded profile, with a 1.6" nut width. The fingerboard is rosewood, having a nice dark wood hue.
Vintage Gibson Style
Unmistakable since its debut, the SG Bass still holds the same character with which it began. It's got 20 frets and acrylic trapezoid inlays across the fretboard. There's a Graph Tech nut and classy vintage-style Grover Shamrock tuners atop the headstock. The bridge is a 3-point adjustable and fits the chrome aesthetic very well.
SG Bass Pickups
For that sweet Gibson bass sound, this instrument features a pair of calibrated SG Bass pickups at the neck and bridge. They have individual volume controls and a common master tone. With this simple, effective setup, you'll have the power to play whatever style you desire.
