Another quality Guitar from Lovies Guitars!

Lovies Guitars is excited to present this Vintage! 1943 Gibson Banner Southern Jumbo (SJ) Acoustic Guitar finished in Sunburst. Built during Gibson’s legendary Banner-era production period, this wartime-era Southern Jumbo represents one of the most sought-after flat-top acoustics ever made, known for its powerful voice, dry vintage warmth, and exceptional projection.

Featuring the classic slope-shoulder dreadnought design, this SJ delivers a bold, open tone with strong fundamental response, rich midrange complexity, and a warm, broken-in character that only decades of aging can produce. These Banner-era Gibsons are highly regarded for their dynamic sensitivity and authentic pre-war acoustic voice.

This example shows honest vintage aging throughout, including heavy finish checking, while remaining structurally solid with no cracks or visible repairs.

Work/Modifications: Bridge and bridge plate have been changed. Neck reset and refret completed. New saddle installed. Despite these professional maintenance updates, the guitar retains its vintage character and outstanding tonal performance.

An additional unique detail includes an interior underside top signature reading “Miller”.

This guitar comes with a hardshell case (HSC).

Condition: 9.4/10 - Excellent for its age. Extremely well preserved Banner-era instrument with heavy finish checking and excellent structural integrity. No cracks or visible structural repairs.
