Danelectro returned in 1998 with reissues inspired by their original classic instruments The Dan O Cool expands on that design approach with vintage inspired features
Vintage Features
The guitar features the Full Bell headstock first introduced in 1954 along with a Rosewood saddle bridge based on the original 1954 design
It also includes Skate Key tuners from 1958 and a U3 pickguard inspired by the 1955 design
Lipstick Pickups
The guitar includes 1950s style Lipstick pickups with increased output
The bridge pickup is 30 percent hotter and the neck pickup is 20 percent hotter than vintage specifications
Retro Spirit Modern Practicality
An adjustable saddle bridge is included and uses the same three screw mounting pattern as the Rosewood bridge
Each guitar includes an eight page reproduction of a 1950s Danelectro catalogue
