1973 Fender Telecaster Bass in Blonde finish, built to 1973 Fender factory specification and previously owned by Paul Gray of The Damned and UFO. Featuring an ash body with beautifully visible grain beneath the translucent finish, original Seth Lover designed Wide Range bass humbucker reading 23k, and weighing a comfortable 8.80lb. These Tele basses deliver huge low-end presence with a deep, punchy and articulate character that sits perfectly in a mix while retaining plenty of vintage warmth and clarity.
An exceptionally original example aside from a replaced top nut and a very small crack to the pickguard. Overall condition is excellent with only a few light dings and minor chips, easily one of the cleanest examples we have seen. Frets have plenty of life remaining and the bass has a very comfortable, well-balanced setup.
Supplied with a high quality Fender black tolex hard-shell case. Paul Gray has also kindly agreed to provide a personal letter of provenance for the next owner.
